Our client began his business with the goal of helping people in need of reliable home improvement projects. He came to us on two occasions for his different businesses.</span></p> <p><span style="line-height: 30px;">His first business, Moonrise Solutions, was created for helping out seniors citizens by building accessibility improvements for them. This would include things such as ramps and other types of installations needed.</span></p> <p><span style="line-height: 30px;">For his second business, Homestead Solutions, he wanted to brand his general handyman utility for most homeowners. This included kitchen and bathroom renovations, tile and granite replacement, and more.</span></p> <p><span style="line-height: 30px;">He wanted his logos to be solid, basic, and mostly black. Moonrise Solutions already had a logo designed, so we merely improved upon it and made sure it was high quality. For Homestead Solutions, he wanted to follow a similar look and let us design </span>it<span style="color: #333333;"> based on his idea.</span></p> <p><span style="line-height: 30px;">The business cards were also pretty straightforward. Black and white, all text, and a border. He believed that keeping things unsophisticated and straight to the point was the way to go. Their old one was plain, bare, and was lacking style. We wanted to go above and beyond to create something that was easy to navigate and easy to read.</span></p> <p><span style="line-height: 30px;">The first thing we did to improve upon the old catalog was </span>photograph as many of the products as we could ourselves. This way we could have consistent quality control over the results. Next, we cut out and digitally edited them so that they could cleanly embed them in our catalog.</p> <p><span style="line-height: 30px;">The real challenge was creating a consistent design for the overall look of the catalog. Most products needed tables to help specify sizes and ratios for each client’s needs. This resulted in having to create unique tables for each type of sizing, fitting a little as two or even one product for a single page. We also had to categorize, label, and make sure photos matched product names. We even had to recreate certain diagrams for products that lacked on and for entirely new products that did not have photos </span>to begin with.</p> <p><span style="line-height: 30px;">This was a long project that required many meetings to perfect. They did not ask for a lot of specific details, besides the name of the company, they wanted something that represented them. It had to be something simple and bold. We left out any iconography in place of the name itself, focusing on the Mesh part of the logo. This ends up making the word “Mesh” itself the icon of the logo.</p> <p class="p1" style="line-height: 30px;">We wanted it to give it a light element that reflected their company. By combining the lines of a mesh grid with the M, we successfully implemented the idea immediately into the logo. After that, the logo needed to feel big and bold much like other retail stores.
