By making changes to the PHP code of your WordPress website you will be able to customize more than just the text that appears in your footer section.

- First, connect to your website with FTP.
- Next, go into the /wp-content/themes folder, and open the theme folder you want to modify.
- Find the footer.php file, and copy it into your child theme folder.
- Make your desired changes to your footer.php file while in the child theme folder.
